(The Center for Creative Leadership) defines strategic leadership
as thinking, acting and influencing others in ways that enhance
an organization's sustainable competitive advantage. "Many
senior leaders recognize the complexity of strategic leadership,
citing such things as determining strategic direction, developing
human capital, exploiting and maintaining core competencies,
sustaining an effective corporate culture, ethical practices
and strategic controls as part of their job. (Hagen, Hassan,
and Amin 1998."
